John Miller

Principal Engineer at J-N-J Miller Design Services PLLC

With a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and 15+ years of industry experience, John Miller is an expert in power electronics, electric machines, and energy storage systems design. Since 2014 he runs his own consulting business helping companies with the design of wireless charging and energy storage systems, as well as electric traction drives enabling vehicle electrification.

He is a PSIM power user for many years and a great advocate of our simulation tools.

“I believe Powersim plus Altair is poised to be the premier simulation tool for power electronics, motor drives, and multi-physics applications.

For me: I have complete trust in PSIM for my consulting work on power electronics for conductive and wireless charging of light and heavy-duty vehicles, design of linear actuators, micro-mobility traction drives, and related systems.

Powersim software is user-friendly, delivers fast and accurate system simulation results, and facilitates sensitivity analysis. I’ve used PSIM for several years as my main system simulation tool. The application engineers at Powersim are top-notch subject matter experts who have helped me over the years with their insights and extensive applications knowledge.”
