In this webinar we designed a phase shift full bridge converter with PSIM utilizing Peak Current Mode Control on the input and an output voltage controller. The control loops were setup for analog control, a conversion for digital control making use of advanced PWM triggering available on the C2000 Piccolo processors processors was also demonstrated.
The converter was initially setup in open loop and frequency sweeps in s-domain and z-domain will be performed to determine the controller parameters. The digital control implementation was verified with a real time HIL simulation using code generated from PSIM and implemented on an F28069 processor.
The design of the power stage, specifically the design equations covering sizing of the inductors and capacitors, was not the primary objective of this webinar.
