PSIM supports InstaSPIN code generation and simulation. Using Texas Instrument’s InstaSPIN-FAST algorithm for your motor control applications is now easier than ever with PSIM. You can use InstaSPIN in both a PIL (Processor-In-the-Loop) simulation or with code generation using SimCoder. This tutorial video is a companion to the LAUNCHXL + DRV8305 development kits and PSIM example simulation which implements sensorless control using InstaSPIN to control a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM).
The complete control scheme is Field Oriented Control (FOC) with PI controllers defined to control Id, Iq and the outer speed loop. InstaSPIN-FAST is used to provide the observer and computes the rotor speed and position.
