How to determine the input impedance of a power converter

This tutorial video shows how to use the PSIM AC sweep function to determine the input impedance of a power converter. In the video a buck converter is used, but the technique is applicable across most power converter topologies. To determine the input impedance a voltage is injected into the input of the buck at various frequencies and the current is monitored. We then make use of Ohm’s law to determine the impedance over the frequency range of interest.
