Wind Speed Influence Over The Energy Quality For A Fixed-Speed Wind Turbine With SCIG Directly Connected To The Grid

The paper deal with problems regarding the electric energy’s quality of a fixed speed wind system with SCIG connected to the national distribution network. A numerical simulation in PSIM software is used in this case. There have been outlined the level and tension forms of the asynchronous generator, the active power injected in the grid, the reactive power consumed, the stability zone of the generator at wind speed variations and the currents variation when connecting the SCIG. Because the induction generator derives its magnetic excitation from the grid, the response of the turbine during a grid disturbance will be influenced by the extent to which the excitation is disrupted.
