Industry License Options

1.1. License Type (Permanent/perpetual licenses)

1)     [DEFAULT] The Powersim-hosted (PH) GROUP softkey functions such that our server acts as the license manager. An internet connection is required for the license checkout, but then the internet connection is no longer required.  Your license administrator controls the user serial numbers and expiry, and license period.

2)      The Customer-hosted (CH) softkey functions such that the license manager files are installed on the customer’s internal network. The customer maintains and controls the licenses internally.  In anticipation of server computer change, the PSIM license file running on the server computer has an expiration date (typically the file is valid for one year). Before the server license file expires, a new file will be generated by Powersim, and this file must be used in order to continue to use the license.

Since DSIM and SmartCtrl are separate software you may have any number of either software. That is, you could have 2-users of DSIM or SmartCtrl, and only 1-user of PSIM.

1.2. Subscription Option

We offer a cost-saving subscription option. The subscription includes our maintenance package, including the free software updates, upgrades, and ongoing access to technical support.

For a subscription license, the software expires automatically after the corresponding period of the term purchased. We offer 1, 2, or 3-year subscription packages. If you would like subscription pricing, let us know.

1.3. Maintenance

The Software Annual Maintenance protects your software investment, and entitles you to regular product updates and ongoing access to comprehensive technical support.

Free software maintenance is included for the first year with any new software license. The following year the optional annual maintenance renewal is offered, and we would send the quote for renewal approximately 45 days before the expiration date.

Note:
The maintenance plan has to be subscribed to yearly as a continuous option. If the maintenance is started, but then not renewed, adding it back on would require upgrading to the latest version and payment of the maintenance for one year, or payment of the maintenance back to the date of its expiration and adding it for one year.
